DESCRIPTION:
The Ancal Standard Whites are high quality diffuse reflectance standards for white and color reference and for target uses. These reflectance standards can be used for radiometric measurements and for spectrometer calibrations. The flat reflectance response over the visible and NIR spectral regions provides both credible and consistent values.

APPLICATIONS:
Standard Whites are essential references for light and color work. The Whites provide near 100% values to which reflectances can be related. The highly diffuse surfaces of these whites eliminate practically all spec-tral reflectance errors. This is particularly important in spectrometric measurement of colors, because color calculations are only as good as the reflectance measurement on which they are based.

Most every reflectance measurement needs to be related to a white. The CDH, CLS, and COL type whites provide a range of surfaces for all applications. Each has advantages (see material descriptions, on back of this page) and each can provide the users with valid references of illumination. Use of these whites will provide highly accurate and meaningful references for most all applications.
