DESCRIPTION
The ALS-06/15 is a fiber optic light source, designed to provide a reliable illumination source for spectroscopic and radiometry measurements. The ALS-06/15 includes a high intensity lamp, a soft start circuit, a regulated power package, and a collimator lens. The system is very stable, and provides the user with a highly reliable light source. The ability to install a filter in the ALS-06/15 makes it versatile; a solar simulation filter, an IR blocking filter, or another specialized filter can easily be installed by the user. Also, the voltage to the lamp can be adjusted to provide various color temperature illumination.
APPLICATION
The ALS-06/15 is designed primarily for use as a light source for fibre optic spectrometry. It is an ideal source for both reflectance and transmittance measurements. It can be used as a discrete light source and also can be coupled to a bifurcated fibre for use with integral source and sampling probes.
The ALS-06/15's stability makes it an excellent light for general optical measurements. Also, because of the ability to install specialized filters in the ALS-06/15, the user may obtain spectrally customized light at locations accessible to fibre optic cable.
