DESCRIPTION
The DLS-030 Ultraviolet Fiber Optic Light Source is a high-output, high stability light source optimized for the UV. It is designed for use with a fiber optic cable, and produces an intense, continuous spectral output from 200nm to 400 nm.

The DLS-0300 is a reliable illumination source for the UV. It has a highly stabilized power supply designed for instrumentation consistency. The light stability is better than 1% variation over long periods of time. The 25 watt power output is ample for most all spectroscopy uses. Note that because the output is to 200 nm, use of solarization-resistant optical fibers are recommended because UV radiation can damage usual fiber optic cables.

APPLICATION
She DLS-030 was designed for use in UV spectroscopy and UV radiometry, in which fiber optic connections are used. It is an ideal source for both reflectance and transmittance measurements. It can be used as a discrete light source and also can be coupled to a bifurcated fibre for use with integral source and sampling probes. Although designed primarily for use as a light source for fiber optic spectrometry, it is an excellent UV source for optical measurements and chemical analyses.

Caution: UV radiation at these low wavelength ranges has been shown to damage human eyes; hence, all safety precautions need to be taken in the use of UV sources.
